The Resources Director range me yesterday and asked me to stay in Nicosia until Christmas... I can go home to Paris tomorrow as planned, but I will be flying back next Sunday. I managed to get the last apartment at the Hotel Cleopatra, they only have a few. It's one bedroom, again it will be strange for me to have a bedroom, because I am used to only having one room.

So it looks like the client won, and the powers that be lost.
